Adorn Alley lives and writes in seclusion. The Neon Nights Series — The First Score, Plasma and Lead, and Blood Money — is a complete trilogy. The city in these books is not a prediction. It is a pressure test. The augmentation backdoors, the surveillance architecture, the logic by which some people become assets and others become liabilities — none of this is science fiction as departure. It is science fiction as extension. The architecture already exists. The series asks what happens when the people at the bottom of it decide they have had enough.
